Zinc Oxide is one of the most powerful whitening pigments along with titanium Dioxide It is  anti-microbial,fungicidal,thickening, whitening, lubricating, and a sunscreen ingredient in cosmetics although a we cannot offer help with sunscreen formulations as this is a highly precise science and is extremely expensive to have tested. Zinc Oxide is almost insoluble in water, but soluble in acids and bases.
